The business environment in higher education is complex, turbulent, and demanding. These challenges are manifested in a broad range of internal and external pressures on leaders to make timely and effective decisions. The Decision Support Group (DSG) will enable Georgia Tech's leadership to respond to these challenges.

 

The mission of the Decision Support Group (DSG) is to provide the Executive Leadership Team (ELT) with accurate and timely data and information to frame issues, set direction, identify and evaluate options, and develop and implement strategies. The DSG is a cross functional team embodying a wide range of expertise and institutional capability. It is comprised of the following units:

 

  • Bursar's Office
  • Capital Planning and Space Management
  • Enterprise Project Management
  • Environmental Stewardship
  • Grants and Contracts Accounting
  • Institute Budget Planning and Administration
  • Institutional Research and Planning
  • Organizational Development
  • Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) as needed, for example Office of Information Technology, Controller's Office, Legal Affairs and Risk Management, Sponsored Programs, etc.

 

Services
The DSG takes an integrated project management approach to addressing priorities of the Institute related to the governance process assigned by the ELT. Team members work to advance the goals and programs of the Institute's colleges, schools, research centers and departments through the development of solutions designed to maximize Georgia Tech's resources, capabilities, and assets. The DSG is committed to high quality service and responsible and sustainable stewardship for the Institute's resources.
